In the spirit of connecting sports with a purpose and impacting young lives, The Checkered Flag Run Foundation presents the all-star MBK Brother Up Forum with Boris Kodjoe, Daymond John, Dez Bryant, Freeway Rick Ross and more.

A multitude of Hollywood celebrities and professional athletes from all sports will invade the Valley of the Sun attending the Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, Waste Management Open and a host of parties and festive events. In the spirit of connecting sports with a purpose and impacting young lives, The Checkered Flag Run Foundation (CFRF) presents the My Brother’s Keeper Brother Up Forum – Connecting Solutions to Action on Saturday, January 31st at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

The My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Community Challenge, launched by the White House in 2014, is an initiative aimed at engaging communities to organize, leverage resources and take action with specific programs designed to elevate young lives.  The City of Phoenix, along with 100 mayors, county officials and tribal nations across the country, accepted the “Challenge”

to employ efforts to guide young men of color – from the cradle, to college, to career –by connecting them with mentoring, support networks and skills training.

My Brother’s Keeper Community Challenge initiative aligns well with the Checkered Flag Run Foundation’s goal of investing in programs that help under-served students cross the “finish line” and on the pathway to success says .
