Our country has undertaken significant efforts to empower veterans as they search for meaningful careers. That work has fueled unprecedented opportunities for transitioning service members, driving veteran unemployment to a record low of 2.7% in February 2019.
That success, however, has not generated financial stability for military families. Why?
Military spouses—often called the backbone of our military—have been left on the economic sidelines forcing families to live on a single income. Frequent moves, deployments, and remote duty locations have made it difficult for most military spouses to maintain and advance a career.
Hiring Our Heroes and HeroZona Foundation are working to remove barriers and empower military spouses as they look for careers in Arizona.
